Coláiste Choilm put in a strong team performance to secure a convincing win over St Fintan’s High School, Dublin in a game full of energy, skill, and teamwork. From the very start, The Tullamore side looked sharp and never let their opponents settle into the game.
First Half Dominance
The home side got off to the perfect start when Charlie Heffernan opened the scoring inside the first minute. The colaiste Choilm goalkeeper was called into action moments later, pulling off a brilliant save to deny a goal at the other end.
Donncha Cooney showed real class with a superb point off his left in the third minute, before Colm Nolan added another to stretch the lead.
Although St Fintan’s responded with a point, Darragh Stewart hit back immediately, knocking over scores in the 11th and 14th minutes. Louis Aubin also got on the scoreboard before Micheal Cooney fired over in the 18th minute after some great defensive work.
Points from Patrick Duffy and Paddy Burns followed as ‘the Brothers’ kept the pressure on right up to the break. At halftime, the scoreboard read 0–11 to 0–01, with Coláiste Choilm firmly in control.
Second Half Control
Sam Heffernan and Ben Dillane were introduced at halftime, replacing Patrick Duffy and Darragh Stewart, and they slotted in well as CC continued to dominate.
Charlie Heffernan struck again in the 40th minute, while Cian Kelly added to the tally a few minutes later. Louis Aubin kept up his scoring form with another fine point in the 51st minute before St Fintan’s managed a late consolation score.
Aubin wasn’t done yet — he rounded off a fantastic individual performance by finishing a brilliant goal near the end to seal the win.

Star Performers
Louis Aubin led the way with a goal and several points in a standout display. Charlie Heffernan and Donncha Cooney caused problems all day for the St Fintan’s defence, while the backline stayed rock-solid from start to finish.
It was a confident and composed team performance from start to finish — a great result for Coláiste Choilm and a strong sign of things to come this season.
