The game kicked off at Frank McEvoy Park with Coláiste Choilm piling on the pressure early against a determined St Mary’s side. The intensity was clear from the start as both teams fought for a place in the semi-finals.
Scoreline Progression:
- 0–1: St Mary’s struck first with a superb goal from outside the box, slotted into the corner.
- 1–1: Coláiste Choilm responded brilliantly. A penalty calmly converted by Cian brought the game level and lifted the spirits of the team.
- 1–2: St Mary’s regained the lead, but Coláiste Choilm kept their heads and pushed forward with great attitude.
- 2–2: A fantastic team goal, starting from the back, saw Coláiste Choilm equalize again.
- RED CARD: St Mary’s No. 9 was sent off for dissent, leaving them with 10 men as full-time approached.
- 2–3: Against the run of play, St Mary’s scored on a 1v1, putting them ahead once more.
- 3–3: In the dying seconds, Coláiste Choilm found the equalizer! The players erupted in celebration, knowing this goal secured their place in the semi-finals on goal difference.
